## Caption

I finally made this giant upper body for my giant legs. I used them to tell my artistic reflection on public space for the project “Redirection”, which was supported by Beliner Senat’ grant, curated by Anna Voswinckel annavosw and Yidi Cao esnufkin_brusda.

The original title was “Who Built Our City-Encounters in Public Space” and the focus was on the artistic interpretation and reflection over the concept of public space. Under the current situation, we found the topic ever more relevant to our society, meanwhile we are all challenged to find an alternative solution to replace a brick and mortar exhibition. The solution doesn’t only point to the format itself, but more quintessentially, how do we we continue engaging the audience in the critical contemplation over our reality, as brought up through art.

I chose Grüne Meile near Bellevue Palace, where I always ran by, as my nature-stage to give the park some long deliberate surprise. 

Hope next year we can bring the show in life.
