Dr. Gerard Bryant, johnjaycollege’s Director of Counseling Services and our Faculty Athletics Representative, taught a beginner’s physical education swim class during the Fall 2024 semester. He then taught an intermediate swim class this past spring to the same students. Eight of those students recently went through a Red Cross Lifeguard Class facilitated by splashfitswimclub led by MarcAnthony Gonzalez. 

Today, those eight students successfully completed the course and will soon be serving NYC as certified lifeguards. Special thanks to johnjaypres for helping Dr. Bryant and MarcAnthony present the certificates this afternoon. Also, thanks to our Aquatics Director coachmiguelsf for supporting the class and certification process.
