Our #COCLobbyDay was a time for Color Of Change members to come together, share their stories, and speak out about the safety-net programs that matter to them–the very programs that the reconciliation bill seeks to cut.

Gwendolyn Levi is a powerful advocate for seniors and incarcerated people, inspired by her own experience in federal and state prison. She received the aid she needed upon returning home from Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. After being labeled an “escapee” for missing a call during a computer literacy class, Color Of Change mobilized to help get her granted clemency. It is for people like Gwen that we fight every day. And now, she continues to fight for the people in her community.
