Franklin Field and fans…you were INCREDIBLE! Fought some serious doubts to get back on the starting line after running in what felt like a different body in Miami, but I’m so glad we did. Because when competing feels fun again and you start to feel more like yourself there is truly no greater feeling in the world. Not gonna lie, been in what @kinesisintegrated likes to call the “sh*t hole” for the last two months. Being in that place sure does mess with you mentally, physically and emotionally. So as @jarredcornfield said, we needed to get back on the starting line today and take a logical step forward.

Sometimes taking a step forward requires taking a few steps back first. Climbing out of a training hole ain’t easy. Rest can feel wrong when you are wired to push, but giving my body what it was asking for brought the fire back. And let me tell ya, starting to feel like yourself again mentally and physically is worth every patient mile (even if it doesn’t always feel that way in the moment). Good thing we still get another chance to Slam with @grandslamtrack and lots of racing still to come this year!
