*please read* 👉🏾 “I think that when you’re a hurt or a minoritized person, you’re taught that there’s a finite amount of oxygen in the room. And so in order to occupy space you have to be the smartest, the prettiest, the funniest. 

There has to be something that defines you. And that makes you a very competitive person because you believe your success is contingent on someone else being dethroned. 

As I watched all of my friends create space for me and create space for each other and share information and experiences and contacts, it made me realize that that’s how I wanted to be in the world.”
