As we enter Pride Month, Newstalk New England stands in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community—in celebration, in reflection, and in unwavering support.

Pride is more than a rainbow. It is a powerful reminder of the resilience, courage, and dignity of LGBTQIA+ individuals—especially in moments when visibility, safety, and equity are under threat.

This year, we want to speak directly and emphatically to our transgender sisters: we see you, we hear you, and we stand with you. Transgender women—particularly Black and Brown trans women—continue to face violence, discrimination, and systemic barriers at alarming rates. These are not just statistics. These are people, families, neighbors, our co-workers, and community leaders who deserve protection, dignity, and peace.
