The Indiana Fever sign a new point guard, we have updates on Sophie Cunningham and Syndey Colson’s injuries, and the New York Liberty continue to dominate the WNBA.

In the Fever’s last game against the Connecticut Sun Sophie Cunningham and Syndey Colson injured their ankles. Sophie’s looked a little more serious as she was super slow to get up… head coach Stephanie White said that their MRIs came back negative and they will hopefully return to action depending on how their recoveries progress. We still don’t know the exact diagnosis of the injuries, but it seems like it’s good news overall!

These injuries mean the Fever’s roster is widdling down quickly, so they needed to act. They decided to use their emergency hardship exception to sign point guard Aari McDonald. The Fever really needed the extra body with so many injuries to their starters.

The New York Liberty continue to show why they’re the class of the WNBA at the moment, with a dominant 100-52 win over the Connecticut Sun to move them to 7-0. The Minnesota Lynx & New York Liberty are the only remaining undefeated teams at 7-0.

The Golden State Valkyries just became the first WNBA team to pack in 18K+ fan in the team’s first 3 home games to start the season. They’ve become a really fun team to watch and already have an amazing fan base. Kate Martin has also been hooping for them!
