After an emotional senior night tribute, “we want Chase” chants, free bacon, and a win for a share of the regular season ACC Championship, the men’s basketball team cut down the net.

Anna Williamson, a 4th-year manager for the team and lifelong Virginia basketball fan, watched with joy as player after player climbed the ladder to cut down their share of the net. As she stood among the coaches, hugging each of them one by one, they told her she was going last. They told her she would get to take the whole thing down.

"I’ve dreamed about my senior night since my first season... I love having 15 bonus brothers to cheer for at the top of my lungs. I was holding back tears watching them go up to cut the net one by one, to hear Coach Williford yell, 'Anna Banana! Go up there and cut it all down,' was an undeserved gift and the cherry on top," Williamson said.

Afterward, as family and friends surrounded Williamson, the net draped around her neck, the 4th-year manager wondered aloud, “Do you think they’ll let me wear this when I walk the Lawn?” #GoHoos
