Yes, I was an NBA player. Now, I’m a broadcaster.
And I hope my journey reminds you of the power of reinvention.

When my playing career ended, I was heartbroken. Confused. Lost.
I didn’t know what to do next or if I could do anything else.
I missed everything… the locker room, the routine, the game, even the fans (yes, you). I missed the world that had shaped me.

For a while, I didn’t even want to be around basketball. It hurt too much.
But broadcasting gave me a new lane to fall in love with the game again - from a different seat, but with the same passion. Supporting my former teammates, being part of the team in a new way… it healed something in me.

This new chapter has surprised me. I’ve found joy again in the people I work with, the fans in the stands, the laughs, the learning. And the same tools that helped me on the court - leadership, discipline, teamwork, accountability - are the ones carrying me now.

If you’re going through a transition… I see you.
You will feel lost. You will feel pain. But that pain?
It makes the joy on the other side that much sweeter.
