Dear Cheerleading,
After 12 years of dedication, triumphs, heartbreaks, love, lifelong friendships, and unforgettable memories, my time as a cheerleader is coming to a close. This sport has been my anchor through every phase of life, and I’ll forever be thankful for the stability it gave me. As I transition into a new role, there are many thank-yous to make.
To Benton Middle, thank you for introducing me to this sport and sparking a passion that shaped the next decade of my life.
To @colgancheer, thank you for pushing me to grow, for letting me experience nationals, and for showing me the joy of game day. Once a shark, always a shark.
To @michellebordelon, thank you for seeing my potential and never letting me settle. For pushing me, loving me, and helping me become who I am today.
To @phoenixeliteva, thank you for being both my safe place and fun place.
To @j_rohlfs, @jwright_94, Stu, and all the Phoenix coaches, thank you for taking a chance on me, for helping me build my skills, and for always encouraging me to be my best.
To @mattpav5, thank you for coaching me with patience and kindness, and for still answering my texts when I need advice.
To the @msuspiritsquad, thank you for the friendships, memories, and for introducing me to my fiancé. To all my coaches, thank you for the life lessons, tough talks, and constant support.
To the Bobcat fans, thank you for being the best fans, the snowy game days, fierce rivalries, and the honor of cheering for some of the best teams in MSU history. I’ll always be proud to wear blue and gold.
To my teammates, I love you endlessly. I’ll always be one call, text, or email away. You will always be my family.
And with that, one last Go Cats Go!
Signing off,
Grandma Liv💙💛
