Just a few #realationshiptips that got us here nearly 20yrs of knowing each other (11yrs married). 📑

1️⃣ #LoveWithBoundaries: 💗 Loving your husband who loves Jesus means for who he is, flaws and all, and supporting him in his faith journey. This also means forgiving and showing grace, just as Jesus does for us. A lot of times, this involves lovingly holding him accountable and reminding him of the purpose He & God set out for your union. This WHILE remaining patient and in those evolving seasons of his relationship with Jesus. This comes with him doing the same for you.

2️⃣ #Spiritualsupport: 👩🏽‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏽 Loving your husband who loves Jesus also means actively participating in his spiritual journey, praying together, attending church together, and discussing and exploring spiritual topics. It involves encouraging him in his faith, being willing to listen and learn from him, and both challenging and learning from each other in your shared (not singular) pursuit of a deeper relationship with Jesus.

3️⃣ #Sharedvalues and priorities: 👫Loving your husband who loves Jesus means aligning your values and priorities with his. Not shrinking or faking to be accepted by him. It involves fostering a strong foundation of shared beliefs and principles rooted in Jesus' teachings. This includes prioritizing regular worship, working together to raise children in the faith, and making decisions that reflect your shared commitment to following Jesus. Loving your husband who loves Jesus also means striving to live out these values in your daily life, allowing your relationship with Jesus to shape your actions and interactions with each other and the world around you.

Guess who gets it right all the time?! 🙅🏽‍♀️ Not me! But I love this journey with the one I’m on it with. I want this type of love for every woman seeking a true man of God. It’s costs us A LOT but the return is amazing. So don’t want what we have #beyourownrelationshipgoals 🫵🏽
