Not everyone has a picture-perfect relationship with their dad. For some, even a small moment like hearing someone casually say, “I built this with my dad,” can bring up a wave of hurt you didn’t even know was there.

If that’s you, it’s ok to feel all of those emotions. The pain is real. But so is the love of your Heavenly Father. He sees every tear, every silent ache, every moment you wish had been different. And He’s not distant. He’s near.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”  Psalm 34:18

Forgiveness doesn’t happen all at once. But maybe today is the day to take one small step. 💛
