Sadly, the media has mislead people to fear the sun and not go outdoors without applying copious amounts of sunscreen and protective clothing 🤦🏼‍♂️

This is truly devastating to the health of our society since the sun is critical for our circadian biology & numerous important functions in our bodies ☀️

Humans now spend almost all of their time indoors under artificial junk light, staring at screens, and wearing sunglasses/lathering on sunscreen anytime they step outside. As a result more and more people are sick, depressed, fatigued, anxious, and miserable. 💡🏠🏙️🏦😔

We will all look back one day and realize how obsurb it was to listen to the medical paradigm & dermatology industry with their anti-sun & sunscreen propaganda... •

Get outside this weekend and soak up some sunshine! I'm a huge advocate of SENSIBLE sun exposure. That means not going out for hours on end and getting burned. ~10-20 mins is typically the sweet spot for most folks this time of year 👌🏻

Then put on a hat/shirt or find some shade, but still enjoy the fresh air & outdoor time. @bioastin #astaxanthin along with a diet loaded with healthy fats are amazing ways to increase your tolerance and mitigate any potential damage while still reaping all the benefits 💯 •

One notable benefit is vitamin D production, but research has found that the benefits of sun exposure go far beyond just vitamin D synthesis and while supplementing with vitamin D can be a great idea, it doesn’t compare to getting some sunshine 🌞
