Healthy Donuts 🍩😋

Conventional Donuts may in fact be the most unhealthy food on the planet. ☣️ 😷
•
It's a triple threat. You have conventional wheat/grain based pastry, deep-fried in toxic/rancid oxidized vegetable oils, then loaded with refined sugar. As though that's not bad enough most of them are adding food colorings and other synthetic chemical filled toppings 🤯🤦🏼‍♂️

This is not great news because I know most of you were probably thinking: 'dammit I freaking love donuts' 😟
•
I wouldn't give you such bad news without a healthy alternative 😉
•
Ingredients: 
1 cup blanched almond flour 
1 tsp ceylon cinnamon 
2 tsp baking powder 
3 TBSP yacon syrup (or low glycemic sweetener of choice) 
1/4 cup grass-fed butter 
2 large pasture-raised eggs 
3/4 tsp vanilla extract 
1/4 cup coconut milk
Pinch of sea salt •

Coating: 
3 tbsp @lakantosweetener monk fruit sweetener 
1 tsp cinnamon 
3 tbsp grass-fed butter •
•
Directions: 
1) Combine all donut ingredients in a mixing bowl
2) Transfer batter into donut pan filling
3) Bake at 350° F for 20-22 mins. Allow to cool in pan before removing. 
4) Bush outside of donuts with melted butter then coat with Lakanto/cinnamon mixture ••
