Major congrats to Anjolina Fantaroni ’26 (anjolinaonair), who was recently awarded the Wes Vernon Broadcast Scholarship by the National Press Club (pressclubdc) – one of the highest honors for student journalists! 🎤🏆📺✨

Anjolina’s dedication to storytelling and commitment to community-focused journalism continue to set her apart. As the executive director of elonnewsnetwork, she has led with passion and integrity, producing award-winning coverage, including her first-place reporting on Hurricane Helene.

“She exemplifies what it means to be a modern broadcast journalist – sharp, ethical and relentless in her pursuit of the truth,” said Assistant Professor jisraelbalderas.

Interning this summer at cbs8 in San Diego, Anjolina is helping tell the stories that matter in Southern California.
