Eleven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles clapped back at NCAA All-American swimmer Riley Gaines after Gaines took to X to make statements about transgender athletes competing in women’s sports. 👀⁣

The social media argument began on Friday after Gaines called out a Minnesota high school whose softball team won a state championship with a transgender pitcher. Gaines stated she was "not surprised" the comments were turned off on the high school’s post, adding that it is "to be expected when your star player is a boy." 👎⁣

Biles responded to Gaines, saying she was "truly sick" over the comment and suggested Gaines should be "uplifting" transgender athletes. Biles also added that we should perhaps focus on "finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans [athletes] feel safe in sports." FACTS. 👏⁣
