Things got SPICY on the track today. 🌶️⁣

McLarens' Oscar Piastri won the Spanish Grand Prix with a dominant run at the front of the field at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to secure victory in front of his teammate Lando Norris but the biggest surprise of the day was a late collision penatly dropping Red Bull's Max Verstappen to 10th. 🤯⁣

The race was dramatically shaken up when a Safety Car was deployed in the latter stages of the race after Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes pulled off track with a mechanical issue, prompting most of the frontrunners to pit again. 😳⁣
•⁣
While Piastri and Norris surged ahead at the restart, Verstappen was overtaken by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc for third place before his altercation with Mercedes’ George Russell. The two made contact, forcing Verstappen down the escape road—prompting Red Bull to instruct him to give the position back. 👀⁣

Max Verstappen was instructed to let Mercedes’ George Russell pass in the final laps, but he didn’t seem too happy about it. While he moved over to allow the British driver through, he then pulled alongside and made contact with the Mercedes. The incident was immediately investigated by the stewards. Although Russell kept the position, Verstappen was quickly handed a 10-second time penalty, dropping him to 10th place. 😬⁣

Overall, it was McLaren’s first win in Spain in two decades. Leclerc finished third, Russell took fourth, and Nico Hülkenberg delivered a superb fifth-place finish for Sauber. 🏎️⁣
