⍨ please read this non-whale related caption

A lot of you are hurting. And projecting. I don’t think any human is actually this upset about the election (well, aside from Trump, perhaps). Politics are always a mess, no matter what. 

If someone posts their opinion, they are entitled to that. If you don’t agree, great, but if you value them as a person or friend, don’t challenge them. Extreme, forceful opinions don’t change minds.

However, I do challenge you to review the things you’ve posted, said, threatened and demanded.

Are they rational?
Is that what you really want? 
Is that how you really feel?
Do you really hate your friends and family?
Aside from politics, what’s REALLY making you hurt? 

Look inward. I’ve been there and I promise you when you stop worrying about things you cannot change and focus on what you can fix, improve on or get rid of, you will be an all around happier person - to yourself and to others. 

Being rude isn’t the answer.
FORCING your opinions, sexuality, diet or political affiliation on anyone is not going to go the way you want it to.

Quit your job. Get a divorce. Move. Mute someone. Unfollow someone. Talk to someone. Seek help. Start your morning with a 5 min journal. Be honest with yourself. Acknowledge your real feelings. 

We are all battling things no one knows about (and surely don’t want to tell anyone about with this level of judgement) but pushing everyone away and being a consistently rotten and negative person will not get you anywhere except for further away from those you truly do want in your life. Or as customers. 

I am sorry you are hurting, but I promise you, no matter who is president or who your friend voted for - your life really isn’t going to be that different.

Choose kindness. Love yourself. and honestly, chill the fuck out.
