Meet Christian Jubran (JD 27)
 
I’m a first-year law student at UF Law with a background in criminology. I’m originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and have always been passionate about leadership, advocacy, and making an impact. Outside of law school, I love staying active, being involved in student organizations, and spending time with friends. I’m always looking for ways to challenge myself and grow, both personally and professionally.
 
I chose to go to law school because I’ve always been drawn to the idea of using my skills to solve complex problems and advocate for others. UF Law was the perfect fit for me because of its strong reputation, supportive community, and the endless opportunities it offers. As a double Gator, I knew that UF would provide the best environment for me to grow academically and professionally while also surrounding me with a network of talented and driven individuals.
 
I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of law school and the connections I’ve made along the way. The environment is rigorous, but it’s also incredibly rewarding to push myself and see how much I’ve grown. I’ve also loved getting involved with student organizations like JMBA and the Commencement Committee, which have allowed me to build relationships outside the classroom and contribute to the law school community.
 
My goal is to work at a large firm in South Florida, so I’m excited to keep building my skills and making connections that will help me get there. Eventually, I hope to transition into in-house counsel or start my own firm, so every step along the way is helping me move toward that long-term goal.
 
Law school is tough, but it’s also an incredible experience if you approach it with the right mindset. It’s not just about studying—it’s about networking, getting involved, and finding balance. I’d tell prospective students to embrace the challenge, stay organized, and surround themselves with a strong support system. UF Law offers so many opportunities, so take advantage of everything it has to offer!
