This Memorial Day, we’re honored to recognize Shaun Clarke — a Queens native, Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard, and team captain of the GhabaGhouls at Upper 90 Astoria — as the newyorkcityfc x NYC Footy Captain of the Match for the 5/25 NYCFC game.

Shaun only picked up soccer a year ago, but quickly found a home in the NYC Footy community. What started as a new way to get some cardio turned into a love for the game — and a space that welcomes people and players of all skill levels.
