11 gorgeous Italian spots to add to your summer bucket list 🇮🇹

Our flights to Italy are booked for the summer, and I’m counting down the days until we’re back! There is nowhere like Italy 🫶🏻

Here are some of my favourite trips we took in Italy over the past few years. Save this post for later & let me know if you’d like to see this for other countries! 

Photo 2&3: Go on a road trip through Valdobbiadene & the Dolomites 
Photo 4&5: Spend a few days in Cinque Terre, stay in Riomaggiore or at least eat pizza by the water here. 
Photo 6: Eat the famous pizza at Da Michele (show up just before 12 on a weekday to avoid queues. The restaurant across the road will let you eat there if you buy a spritz, so you don’t have to wait for a table)
Photo 7: Hike mount Vesuvius, it was BEAUTIFUL!! but don’t buy the wine at the top 🤢 IYKYK
Photo 8: From Naples, go to Pompeii, and don’t skip Ercolano while you’re there. Get a guide, it’s much better with one. I found mine on Airbnb experiences. 
Photo 9: Favignana in a Sicily is a dream island. Ride a bike to the beach, swim in the bluest water, it’s perfect. I’m not sure if Ioved trapani, but it was worth going to get to Favignana. 
Photo 10&11: Head to the Tremiti islands and rent a boat to drive around the island for the day. If you’re on an east coast road tip, this is a must-do. 
Photo 12&13: Erice is a gorgeous little day trip from Trapani. Best arancini I’ve ever eaten!
Photo 14&15: Eat on an old fishing platform on the Trabbocho coast in Abruzzo. Don’t be fooled by how it looks, they can be very fancy inside. I have my favourites pinned on my Abruzzo Google map! 
Photo: 16&17: Polignana a mare is busy and touristy, but we had a gorgeous mid-week end of summer trip here. The photo is from the accommodation we stayed at which was amazing!
Photos 1/18/19: See the Amalfi coast! I know it’s popular, I know it’s busy, but I’ve loved every trip I’ve had here. I have an in-depth blog post which has recs for getting away from busy parts AND doing it on a budget. Comment AMALFI if you’d like the link!
