A new way to find cheap flights has arrived 🫶🏻

I got an email from Skyscanner about their new ‘Drops’ feature this week, and I’ve spent the week checking it out 👀 this is going to be a game changer for snagging cheap flight deals! 

So, Drops is a new section of the app that shows you flights from your chosen departure airport that have dropped in price by *at least* 20% compared to last week. You can’t select dates or preferred destinations, it shows you global flight deals anytime. 

IMO it will be great for spontaneous travel or people with flexible travel dates. It’s going to save so much time searching through each destination to find deals, and feel like it will be really great for encouraging us to travel places we may not have thought of.

Some tips for using Drops to get deals: 
* switch on notifications so when there’s new drops you’ll get notified
* If you find a cheap flight between two countries, and love the price & route but the dates don’t work - plug that route in the Skyscanner search with your preferred dates and set a price alert. If the route drops for my dates, you’ll know right away without checking drops. 
* Flight prices change quickly, so this is a tool for impulsive bookers - not people who are a little indecisive & dither for a while before booking. The deal may go within the day, especially now that’s it’s being highlighted to so many people
* Find out the extra fees before you book (like baggage charges or seat selection costs) they could make a cheap ticket less appealing. the app now shows you these up front
* And finally, don’t wait too long thinking prices might drop even further—they often don’t
