Entry requirements for Bali have changed and here are all the details so you’re ready for your trip! ✈️

Save this if you’re coming here, or send it to someone who is to make their arrival a little less stressful 🫶🏻

Bali launched their eVisa process a few years ago, dramatically cutting down queue times and making it much easier to extend your visa from 30 to 60 days. Recently they’ve made things even more convenient by linking your visa to your passport so you don’t even need to go through manual immigration booths, just scan your passport and your through! ✈️ (Visa On Arrival is still available, it can just take time as each person needs to be manually checked and pay for their visa)

When we checked in for our recent flight, we had to show 2 QR codes before we could check our bags. One for the health form, one for the new Bali tourist levy. There wasn’t any information on our bookings stating this, so we had to leave the queue and come back - definitely something to know if you want to check in fast. 

Once both forms are filled out, and the levy is paid, you’ll be given a QR code to show the steps are done. Screenshot these to show at check in - you’ll also need to show the health form QR code when you land so make sure you have this ready!

Finally this isn’t new, but people always forget it or don’t see the signs - so I thought I’d mention it here: the customs declaration! When you land, after baggage claim but before customs you’ll see signs asking you to fill out a customs declaration. You only need one per couple / group. Fill out the number of bags and the number of people coming through. Again you’ll be given a QR code to show as you pass through customs! 

There’s WiFi in arrivals but it’s best at baggage claim, so save a screenshot or copy of the visa, health form QR, levy QR on your phone before you fly. The customs declaration can also be filled out before you fly, or in baggage claim.
