Want to know where to stay and what to do on Koh Samet? I’ve got you covered!

🏠Where to stay
Sai Kaew beach on the north of the island is the most popular with tourists, but personally I much preferred the beaches further south. Sai Kaew was much too busy so we spent only a hour or so here. 

Check out Wong Duean Beach, Ao Chor, or Tubtim beach. We stayed on Wong Duean at Vongdeaun Resort which is where most of these shots were taken. I’ll link it in my Post Links highlight ❤️

🌴 What to do
Renting a scooter is essential on Koh Samet if you want to explore! The island is only 20 minutes top to bottom, and the road quality is pretty good making it easy to drive around. 

The north of the island is busy and populated, while the south is super chilled and quiet. Drive to the furthest northern and southern points to see the best bits of the island - from Ao Noi Na beach to Laem Toei. Definitely do the boardwalk at sunset & sunrise point in the south!

🍛 Eating & drinking 
We loved:
reefsamed for dinner

Ma-Rum bar for chilled out drinks (they don’t serve food but they’ll order in for you from a great local restaurant)
Reggae Magic for beach hangouts
flowbeach.house is giving bali lunch vibes 
Nags Bar for cocktails 
winkksbeachclub if you want a boujee beach club

Budget
Samet has beach huts starting around 800baht per night, and possible to get local food from 60baht per dish, and a scooter is 250-350 baht per day. So it’s doable on a micro budget. However Samet does also have some expensive resorts and sunset bars, so you can splurge if you’d like a treat. Stay far north & south to spend more, in the middle to spend less!
