Grief is wild. It doesn’t follow rules. It doesn’t wait for the right time. It just shows up—sometimes in ways you don’t expect.

Lily gave me a real scare, and for a moment, I thought I was about to lose another piece of my heart. She was supposed to help me heal, but that night, she reminded me that healing isn’t a straight line. It’s messy. It sneaks up on you. And sometimes, it knocks the wind out of you when you least expect it.

I’m grateful she’s okay. But I also realized I gotta stop pushing my own grief to the side just to keep things moving. Because grief doesn’t just disappear—it waits to be felt.
