#RemitlyParner I promised my parents one day I would ensure they don’t ever have to work again. I fulfilled that promise before turning 25.

My journey in the US was anything but easy. I started from scratch, hustling every day working multiple jobs and preparing myself to land opportunities that would change the future of me and my family. Each day I needed to ensure I brought enough to make ends meet and put food on the table. 

I faced many, many rejections and setbacks. But each of them taught me a lesson that I used to help me in the journey to success.

I shared my story to build community and inspire fellow immigrants to chase their dreams. That journey led me to build a startup, seize opportunities, and create a strong brand – all so my parents could live in peace without worries. 

And they did. 

When they decided to return back home and enjoy their retirement, I made sure they could live without ever having to struggle again.

Then, something happened that showed me how much our lives have truly changed.
