## Caption

After one of the harder chapters of my life — testifying in a courtroom & recounting what no one should ever have to — I knew I needed somewhere quiet. Somewhere gentle; surrounded by nature.

So my friend katie.gauntlett & I finally took the girls getaway we’d been dreaming of for years: a road trip to the Cotswolds.

We escaped the London bustle, drove two hours into the countryside, & checked into  thyme.england — a place that felt more akin to a botanical *poem* than a hotel. 🌿

The weekend felt like a big exhale. ☺️ Calming, rejuvenating, & safe like a home (it is, in fact, a home to the multi-generational family that has brought these historic buildings pack to life over the past couple decades).

Slow mornings & garden-to-table breakfasts. Walks through the estate’s forests to greet the neighborhood horsies. 🐴 Breathwork inside a quaint refurbished barn.

Dinner by candlelight in a 400-year-old pub. 🕯️ Evenings cuddled around our fire pit, before collapsing into our poofy pink princess bed.

We talked about everything and nothing, and remembered how soft and beautiful the world can still be.

This reel is a little love letter to this place, to this weekend getaway with my sweet friend, and to the inspiration it breathed back into me when I needed it. ❤️
