#TSRPolitics: Today, Senator #AlexPadilla, D-Calif., was forcibly removed from a news conference in Los Angeles after he attempted to ask Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem a question during a press conference regarding immigration.

He began his question by stating, “I am Sen. Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary,” before concluding his question, several unidentified men started pushing him out of the room.

Padilla told reporters, “I was there peacefully, at one point, I had a question, and so I began to ask a question. I was almost immediately forcibly removed from the room, I was forced to the ground, and I was handcuffed… If this is how this administration responds to a senator with a question… you can only imagine what they’re doing to farmworkers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California and throughout the country.” DHS responded via X denying Padilla’s stance, arguing that he “chose disrespectful political theatre and interrupted a live press conference without identifying himself.” (SWIPE) ✍🏾 #TSRStaffJR
