Want to know how Ryval Studios got our start in sports?? 

It was 2019 and I was burnt out on doing corporate video and had the pipe dream of getting into sports videos. But I had no clue how to do it, or if it was even possible. That summer, I had gotten hired to make a video about a high school football player committing to play at Texas A&M and thought it turned out pretty good. Maybe a college football recruiting department might like this, I thought? Who knows, but it was worth a shot. 

I spent the next several months cold emailing every college football program in the midwest region with my new video. Surely everyone would be chomping at the bit to work with me, right? Wrong. It was crickets. Except I got ONE reply, from the illiniathletics They needed help and we're willing to give a new guy a shot at making some videos for their recruiting department. This is the first of the 3 videos we did (as JM Films) that fall, and it was after this project I was hooked on sports and was determined to figure out how to make this my business.

So thank you, illinifootball, for being the first program that took a chance on me that sparked not only a complete rebrand but the confidence to go all-in on sports and not look back!
