## Caption

In the eastern Serengeti, lions sleep on rock outcrops like they have for thousands of years, unconcerned and sovereign. It’s moments like this that provide a glimpse into what Earth was and could still be if we give wildlife the room and respect it needs to thrive.

With our journey here finally coming to an end, Mitty and I are looking towards home with full hearts. Together we’ve witnessed the moment over 20 black rhinos were returned to the vast, protected landscapes where they belong, an achievement years in the making with segeraretreat and zeitzfoundation.

At Reteti, we met orphaned elephants and learned what it takes to raise them back to strength and back to the wild—the bottles, the mud baths, the long walks beside tiny trunks. These are the stories that feed the soul and inspire change. sararafoundation

Finally, this past week here with asiliaafrica at their #namiriplains camp has given us the chance to see a national park doing its job: giving wildlife the space to exist as they were always meant to.
