#Sonder10: Deeper Impact, Lasting Change → 2024 and Beyond

From our first university students to skilled water mechanics, academic boot camps to strategic planning—we’re not just looking back. We’re building forward.

✅ In Jan. '24, Moses Humphrey became our first Education is Power student accepted into university. He’s since been joined by Daniel (Agriculture), Francis (Geological Engineering), Monica (Carpentry & Joinery), and Osward (Medicine) all now pursuing their dreams through higher education.

✅ In Mar. '24, we conducted our first well mechanics training in Burkina Faso—equipped twelve community members with the tools and skills necessary to support sustainable safe water access and establishing small businesses to increase income.

✅ In Apr. '24 we launched our first Education is Power Camps in Malawi and Burkina Faso. Since then, the camps have evolved into multi-day academic boot camps designed to help students prepare for exams, strengthen their understanding of challenging material, and build confidence through connection and mentorship. 

✅ In May '24 we led our first Sonder Immerse trip to Malawi to connect supporters with the communities we serve. More than just a visit, Immerse is designed to deepen understanding and foster meaningful exchange. Each trip is built around five core objectives: Learn, Connect, Grow, and Serve—creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience that leaves a lasting impact on everyone involved.

✅ And now, we’re strategic planning our next 3 years and we look forward to sharing with you in the coming months.  But one thing is clear—we're committed to deepening our impact.  That means increasing access to clean water, improving graduation rates, expanding agriculture opps., and strengthening education quality to support lasting change.
