📖 STORY TIME 📖

In 2019 the daytonatortugas reached out to me to ask me to come on board and be their In-Game MC for the 2020 season as we were looking to save the franchise and keep affiliated milb baseball in Daytona with an uncertain future. On the day when I was heading to the field to do some press release work for my new position, which they had never hired before, the COVID-19 epidemic cancelled everything , including my 60 home game schedule. I was devastated.

Fortunately, the team survived the reorganization of MiLB and I had the chance to come in to start working with the low-A reds mlb affiliate. It felt like the opportunity of a lifetime to get to thrill that Daytona Beach, and I poured my heart and soul into creating a wildly entertaining show around a cool baseball game at an historic stadium for 2 years.

I said goodbye when I had the chance to continue doing work with thesavbananas who had inspired my creativity from the beginning of my time in Daytona, but I will always have a special place in my heart for The Jack for teaching me so much and giving me a start, like it did for so many other ball players who achieved their Major League dreams.

Somehow, I’ve also achieved mine where I now get to perform as an MC in some of the biggest and most famous stadiums and arena in the world, including this weekend in Cincinnati where so many other athletes went from being a Tortuga to being a big leaguer. I’ve defied the odds and I’m grateful and appreciative… and I am absolutely soaking it in.

Thanks you Tortugas, Reds, and the Bananas for giving a big mouth in Florida a chance to really do something meaningful in this life.
