In the start tunnel we had our final moment chats and the primary talks were effort and energy. At Worlds, on the biggest stage, we knew that competition would be the steep and it was up to us to control our race.

We wanted to match or be within striking distance of our Open Doubles from DC. Not running Pro Doubles before but knowing the jump in weights would be more of an advantage for us than a disadvantage left us confident we could do that. We ended up being just 17s off (54:37 in DC) which was epic. Right on the money.

After a big move, leaving Sled Pull first in our heat, we kept our heads cool and just kept jamming. Everything was flowing. We were spinning on the runs and nailing the station work plan. Some of our best splits (compared to the field) came in the middle of the race. We opened up a gap and did not look back. We won the wave which was not a plan but added to the satisfaction of this race.

Putting together this race was the perfect end to the 24/25 season. Nothing but smiles, sweaty hugs, and pandemonium at the finish line. What a freakin' rush. Second race together, second time in the 54's and left hungry to keep pushing the envelope.
