ChatGPT just got outplayed by an Atari console from 1979. Software engineer Robert Caruso posted on LinkedIn that the chatbot “got absolutely wrecked” when playing a beginner-level match of Atari Chess against the Atari 2600. The AI struggled with basic moves, misidentified pieces, and insisted it could win if it just got another shot.
