Well…..Alabama-2, Sav-0

Let me break down how the enemy uses proof against us. Proof is very real. It’s everything we can list to show that things aren’t going our way or that we aren’t good enough or destined for better. It’s evidence of our failed attempts that start to outnumber our successes. This is what the enemy uses to get us to justify quitting. It’s very difficult not to buy into the proof because “results speak for themselves.” Sometimes they do, but sometimes results hide the reality that something is brewing. Even while it looks like the needle isn’t moving, something is happening every time we refuse to quit.

Currently, my proof is this: 
- Missed the cut by one shot in back-to-back weeks
- The weight of “needing” to play well is getting heavy
- With only two events left in the season I’m running out of time to get into the Top 10

In all honesty there are times where I’d rather quit golf than endure the stress of playing one more tournament. There will be times in any career where the lows are lower than the highs are high, and that’s why we can’t rely solely on our own strength to get us through trials. God wants us to call on Him and include Him in everything we do. He wants us to see our mission through to the end and reap the rewards of obedience and perseverance. He wants us to see how the enemy was scheming all along and that we did in fact have it within us to win. I believe fully that we belong to Christ and that we are made victorious by His sacrifice. We are more than what we do professionally, so let’s not let the accuser convince us otherwise.

Although the last two weeks have been difficult and this season has been streaky, we have a good God Whose ways are higher than my ways. I’m committed to simply taking the next step forward and preparing for next week. ❤️🙏🏼
