#VISIONARIES ✨Michael Urie opens up about a childhood full of trial and error — from struggling in sports and band to dreaming of becoming a drama teacher. It wasn’t until a poetry competition, where the audience unexpectedly burst into laughter, that he discovered the power of his comedic delivery and found his path.

“I kept leaning into the things that they seemed to think were funny, and by the end of it, they were howling, and I won,” Michael said. “That was when I said, ‘Okay, I’m not gonna be a teacher. I’m gonna go be an actor.’”
