#VISIONARIES ✨Alan Cumming looks back on a fearless, genre-hopping career spanning stage, screen, and television — from “Cabaret” to “The Good Wife” — driven not by strategy, but instinct and curiosity. In conversation with fellow actor Michael Urie, he reflects on embracing discomfort as part of the craft.

“I hosted the BAFTAs [and] I was by the side of the stage thinking: Why are you doing this? Why did you take on this job?” Alan recalled. “I get angry with myself for being so nervous. But actually, it means you care. And so I just hope I’m always nervous— because I want to care.”
