The new North Tower at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla opened June 1. Here’s a look at some of what it took to get there. Peek behind the scenes at our Day in the Life event, where teams ran simulated scenarios such as an emergency C-section and a brain injury requiring a rapid CT scan. These practice runs gave caregivers the chance to test systems, spaces and teamwork before doing the real thing when the doors opened for patients.
