Y’all already know I don’t play when it comes to food. I will plan an entire trip around a plate — and I say that with my chest. These are the cuisines that make me pause mid-bite, close my eyes, and dream about their goodness weeks later. Each one brings something different to the table — literally — and honestly, I could build my dream passport around these flavors.

10. Korean - Between Korean BBQ, kimchi, and the sizzling street food? It’s a whole experience. The flavors, the heat, the drama? I’m here for all of it.

9. Tanzanian - Underrated but unforgettable. Nyama choma, coconut-infused stews, and chapati? Add it to your foodie bucket list yesterday.

8. Spanish - From tapas to paella, Spain brings the flavor with a side of wine, olive oil, and late-night conversations.

7. Italian - You knew it was coming. Pasta, pizza, gelato. Classic for a reason but not #1 like it is on everybody else’s list. Respectfully.

6. Chinese - A literal icon in global cuisine. From dim sum to hot pot, it’s giving endless variety and flavor for days.

5. Ghanaian - Listen, jollof wars aside, Ghanaian food is that girl. It’s bold, spicy, and soul-warming. Flavor lives here.

4. Jamaican - Jerk chicken? Oxtail? This cuisine brings heat, heart, and heritage. As a half-Jamaican (shoutout to my dad), it runs deep. I’m so used to the flavors I NEVER take pictures — but just know, it’s HEAT.

3. Mexican - Top-tier. From tacos on the street to mole in your grandma’s kitchen, this cuisine does it all. It’s colorful, soulful, and built for people who really love flavor.

2. Cajun/Creole - Soul food’s spicy cousin. Gumbo, étouffée, red beans and rice — every bite feels like a warm hug. Honestly, only one cuisine can compete with this one.

1. Thai - Sweet, salty, sour, spicy — Thai food hits every note like a Grammy-winning track. Balanced, bold, and always satisfying. It’s my forever number one.

What cuisine would you travel for? Or better yet, what’s your number one? Let’s compare plates!
