Meet Skylar Cho—a 2025 graduate of Loyola's Master's in Speech-Language Pathology (LoyolaMDSLP) program and a #DoubleGreyhound!

After earning her bachelor's in just three years, Skylar was ready to grow clinically, professionally, and personally at the LoyolaClinicalCenters. "Communication is more than just words—it's rooted in connection and mutual understanding. Loyola's SLP program equipped me with strong clinical skills, but more importantly it helped me find a deeper purpose. We are taught to treat our patients following the Jesuit value of cura personalis, care for the whole person, emphasizing holistic support throughout their journey."

Community service was a key part of Skylar's undergraduate experience. As president of Loyola's chapter of LUMGrad_NSSLHA, Skylar sought meaningful ways to merge her passions for clinical care and service, which she looks forward to continuing throughout her career. "Service has always been a grounding part of my Loyola experience—it has not only shaped the person I am but the person I strive to be. I have learned that meaningful change starts with showing up, honoring the dignity of every person, and leading with empathy."

"At Loyola, the people truly make the place. Being from Los Angeles, I was nervous about adjusting to life so far from home. But the moment I stepped on campus, I was immediately embraced by a community that encouraged me to thrive. These past five years at Loyola have been nothing short of a gift. I am beyond grateful for the friends I have made and the mentors who have inspired me to believe in myself every step of the way."

Skylar will begin this summer as a Clinical Fellow at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, where she completed an externship last fall. "Guided by the values instilled in me at Loyola, I'm committed to a life of service through advocacy and compassion with the patients and families I serve."
