Watching you grow into the man and athlete you are today has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. From our early days grinding together on the mat to now — seeing you step into your college career as a redshirt freshman with fire in your heart and so much still ahead — I’m beyond proud of you.

I’ll never forget your 2018 run — beating killers like Caleb Henson (6-5), Carter Young (4-2), and Joshua Edmonds (5-5), before going toe-to-toe in the finals with Jesse Mendez, losing 2-1. You’ve always been fearless. Always a fighter.

Your journey is just beginning, and I know the world hasn’t even seen the best of you yet.
