Xiaomei Yang and her goose have formed a remarkable bond over the past three years. From pulling a cart and picking vegetables to carrying water and guarding the market stall, this feathered co-worker does it all.⁠

Getting there wasn’t easy. The goose initially ran off in fear when first asked to pull a cart. But after six months of patient training, the two became inseparable.⁠

One especially touching moment? When a former friend tried to intimidate Xiaomei, the goose rushed in and stood between them to protect her.⁠
