DII - Who Knew? At the NFHCA, we support coaches and student-athletes across all NCAA divisions — each with its own strengths and opportunities. Today, we’re shining a light on the path of Division II.

With a smaller footprint, Division II offers a powerful combination of academic flexibility, athletic scholarship opportunities, and the highest access to NCAA championships of any division — creating an environment where student-athletes can truly thrive on and off the field.

🏫 36 NCAA DII field hockey programs across 11 states

💸 Athletic scholarships, academic, and need-based aid options

📚 Support for demanding majors like Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Education, and fieldwork-heavy programs

🌐 Room for study abroad, multiple sports participation, and holistic growth
Not every student-athlete journey looks the same — and that’s something to celebrate.
