It’s official: JOURNALISM will run in the GI Belmont Stakes, the final leg of the Triple Crown, at Saratoga on Saturday, June 7 🎪 The Preakness winner worked four furlongs in :47.50 Sunday morning on Saratoga’s main track, with regular jockey Umberto Rispoli on board.

“Based off what I saw here this morning, I would be hard-pressed to find a reason not to enter,” said trainer Michael McCarthy.

A son of renowned sire Curlin out of graded stakes winner Mopotism (Uncle Mo), Journalism was bred by Don Alberto Corporation and sold as a yearling - consigned by Denali Stud - for $825,000 at the 2023 Saratoga Sale to Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners.

Eclipse TBP co-owns the Classic winner with Bridlewood Farm, breeder Don Alberto Stable, Robert V. LaPenta, Elayne Stables 5 LLC, Mrs. John Magnier, Michael B. Tabor and Derrick Smith.
