Class of 2025 graduate Jada Gonzalez plans to go to Austin Community College for 2 years, attend a trade school, and finish out at a four year college. 

“I plan to go to ACC for two years and get my basics that transfer, and probably do a trade, I’m thinking about Welding or Medical imaging,” Gonzalez said, “Then i’m going to transfer to an in-state school, I’m thinking UT-SA, because their STEM programs are really good and they have a lot of options to choose from.”

Post college graduation Gonzalez plans to either join the AirForce, or become a pilot.

“My plan is to join the Air Force for pilot training. But if I don’t and I chicken out on that, then I plan on signing with an Airline Company, and get my training from them, because my goal is to be a pilot.” Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez has been a big supporter of the Archery club at Mccallum and feels that it has helped make an impact on McCallum.

“I’m a pretty big supporter of the archery club, I’m a captain there, and I have been for all four years,” Gonzalez said. “I’m also on the fundraising committee, also for four years, so that was impactful, but I also do a lot with art.”

In terms of advising underclassmen, Gonzalez believes that they should join ACC and Dual Enrollment classes, as well as take and get their language credits out of the way.

“Take ACC and Dual-Credit courses, because they will save you money and their fun. The teachers and Professors are really rad and cool,” Gonzalez said, “Get your language out of the way, and also do ACC Gov. because it’s better than Garza.”
