READY FOR THE NEXT ADVENTURE: Meredith Miller, English and social studies teacher, leans on her desk as she begins to clean up her room at the end of the 2025 school year. With two years of being a Mac teacher under her belt, Miller is saying goodbye to McCallum at the end of the school year. 

“I love McCallum because I just love the people in general,” Miller said. 

Miller appreciates the opportunity she had to meet new, different kinds of students. 

“I think if you asked a lot of teachers this question, they would probably say the same thing,” she said. “I like that I get to interact with every type of student, and see what makes their mind tick, and what makes them motivated. This, in turn, motivates me as the teacher.” 

While the future is uncertain for Ms. Miller, she hopes to try something new in another state. After growing up in Texas, and attending the University of Texas, Ms. Miller is excited to explore future opportunities.

“I am hoping to move to another state, and kind of just explore what life has to offer. I want to get some new experiences to be able to find what the best job is for me and my life.” 

Even though she is ready to for something new, she finds comfort in her McCallum memories.

“It is really bittersweet, and I don’t think it has hit me yet,” Miller said. “McCallum is something that’ll always be here for me. I think that it would be the kind of place that would always accept me back.”
