Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer and the Fresno City Council presented Derek and Heather Carr a proclamation for Derek and Heather Carr Day.

Derek grew up in Bakersfield and moved to Fresno to play for the Bulldogs from 2009 to 2013, where he met Heather. The two were married in 2012.

Thursday, June 12, 2025, is hereby proclaimed Derek and Heather Carr Day in the City of Fresno.
