A new era begins in Seattle! 🚨⁣
•⁣
PWHL Seattle has named Steve O’Rourke as the franchise’s first-ever head coach, marking a major milestone as the team gears up for its inaugural season. 🙌⁣
•⁣
With more than 15 years of coaching experience, including stints in the OHL, WHL, AHL, and with Team Canada, O’Rourke brings a wealth of knowledge, a passion for player development, and deep ties to the Pacific Northwest. 🌊⁣
•⁣
A Summerland, BC, native who once played for Washington State, O’Rourke knows how much hockey means to this region, and now, he’s helping shape its future. 🏒💙⁣
•⁣
“We’re proud to welcome Steve as the first head coach in PWHL Seattle’s history,” said GM Meghan Turner. “He brings a great hockey mind and a clear vision for this team.” 🤩⁣
•⁣
Next up: the 2025 PWHL Draft on June 24. Let’s build something legendary. 💪 #thegist⁣
