Hey y’all — I’ve launched a GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/075a1cb7) to help support my summer research journey, and I could really use your help.

This July and August, I’ve been invited to two international symposiums in Italy and a field school in Malta, where I’ll be expanding my work on culture, sustainability, and storytelling through photography and anthropology. These are opportunities I never imagined I’d have — and they’re directly tied to my PhD research and even expand the scope of the research. I will spend a week in Venice, Italy, a week in Montecatini Terme, and then a few weeks in Gozo Malta. 

I’m asking for support to help cover the travel in between these experiences. I have been granted a traveling grant from LSU and I have already paid for and secured my spot in each of the opportunities. If you’ve followed my work, been part of it, or just believe in supporting artists and researchers doing community-based, meaningful work — please consider donating or sharing.

This journey means the world to me, and I’ll be honoring everyone who contributes in my published work and, if you go above $300, in the acknowledgments of my dissertation. Additionally, I am selling half off framed and unframed prints. Each of the framed prints  has been showcased in a national jury art show across the country, in addition to the piece you will get the story of where it showcased.
