Meet two Tigers who are exploring Italy! 🇮🇹🐅

This summer, Sabrina Cinque ’26 and Allison Ortiz ’27 are studying abroad through the Trinity in Italy program. This three-week course introduces students to the complex and diverse city of ancient Rome, with a particular focus on the religious experiences of its inhabitants.

For Sabrina, a biology major and business minor from Long Island, New York, this trip is a chance to learn more about her culture.

“I’ve been learning Italian at Trinity for the past year,” Sabrina says, “and I wanted to go to test all that I had learned over the duration of my Italian studies in school … and for all the food!”

Sabrina’s favorite part of this trip so far is getting the chance to travel to different cities along the way with some of her good friends while meeting new friends from the cohort. 

For Allison, a marketing and communications major from Houston, this trip was the perfect opportunity because it allowed her to get class credit while exploring a country she’s always wanted to visit. 

“My favorite part so far has been seeing the Roman Forum ruins. It’s so cool to be able to physically stand where they stood so many years later,” Allison says. “On Monday, we visited the Vatican, something that's always been on my bucket list, and I got to do it because of Trinity!”
